About Gawaing-Pilosopo
Gawaing-Pilosopo is an online bulletin board that serves as a public portal where Filipino philosophers and enthusiasts, academics and students alike, can post, inter alia, conferences, workshops, seminars, lectures, conference/journal call for papers, scholarships and fellowships, etc. There is no monetary cost for posting your announcements; however, all submissions will be moderated to ensure quality control and to avoid uneccesarry clutter.
The vision of the site’s creator is to bring together philosophers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in the hope of eventually overcoming the Balkanization among philosophy departments and the North-South divide that contribute to the “crucifixion” of philosophy in the Philippines.
Gawaing-Pilosopo advocates the vision of de-centering institutional and regional priority. If you share this vision, please join the community by using this portal to propagate the value of philosophical inquiry to our colleagues, students, and fellow Filipinos.

Letting our ideas be “tested” and be scrutinized by others, not cementing these ideas (in our insitutions), is what doing philosophy is all about. I hope this portal will likewise help encourage more interaction, lively, healthy exchange of ideas among us.

Natutuwa ako at nasugpungan ko ang ’site’ na ito…hangad ko na ang araling pilosopiya ay mahikayat o maakit ang karamihan sa mga Pilipino lalo na ang kabataan sa kahalagahan nito hindi lamang sa pansarili kundi lalong higit sa maka-Pilipinong adhikain at pag-sulong!
Palaguin ang araling PILOSOPIYA ! ! !
