About Gawaing-Pilosopo
Gawaing-Pilosopo is an online bulletin board that serves as a public portal where Filipino philosophers and enthusiasts, academics and students alike, can post, inter alia, conferences, workshops, seminars, lectures, conference/journal call for papers, scholarships and fellowships, etc. There is no monetary cost for posting your announcements; however, all submissions will be moderated to ensure quality control and to avoid uneccesarry clutter.
The vision of the site’s creator is to bring together philosophers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in the hope of eventually overcoming the Balkanization among philosophy departments and the North-South divide that contribute to the “crucifixion” of philosophy in the Philippines.
Gawaing-Pilosopo advocates the vision of de-centering institutional and regional priority. If you share this vision, please join the community by using this portal to propagate the value of philosophical inquiry to our colleagues, students, and fellow Filipinos.

Many thanks for suggesting the PANL. The society is now listed above. The purpose of this page is precisely to recognize and publicize philosophical societies from all over the country–to provide space for old and new ones. Please help us realize the vision of Gawaing-Pilosopo by using the portal to publicize PANL activities.
